Richard Habring is a veteran watchmaker whose career began in 1985 at the watchmaking school in Karlstein an der Thaya, Austria. He completed a tourbillon while still a student, and subsequently worked under the late Günter Blümlein at IWC, http://www.watchesuuk.co where he was responsible for developing the rattrapante chronograph module, built on a Valjoux/ETA 7750 base, used by IWC in the Portuguese Chrono-Rattrapante. He and his wife Maria launched Habring² in 2004, and in 2014 they introduced their first fully in-house movement, the caliber A11.
The Erwin is the same 38.5mm across as the Felix, though thanks to the addition of the jumping seconds module, it's slightly thicker than the Felix at 9mm. The Felix is, in its base configuration, only 7mm thick, although the addition of optional complications will of course in crease the thickness.
The Erwin is currently available for $6,200 from Habring². This is a rather astonishing price for a high-grade in-house movement with an in-house jumping seconds complication.
